Whether you want to do be a game designer, a creative director or a product manager, the idea is at the heart of the game. In this workshop we will explore the first steps in ideation for games that can make a positive impact on society. Be ready to take the first steps into the world of game development.

Envision the overall game in terms of genre, story, aesthetics, basic rules and gameplay etc.

Ensure the final game product matches the original vision

  • Work with artists to visually create characters, levels, game world and game environments 

  • Collaborate with programmers to devise gameplay experience and bring the game to life 

  • Guide writers to construct narratives, storylines, dialogues and in-game texts

Bachelor of Design (Games) at RMIT 
First intake: October 2022 

The program helps you gain a deep and critical understanding of games in multiple formats and develop a wide range of design and technical skills to foster your creativity and working knowledge. The program will also provide you with an in-depth experience of design and production for games, including level design, gameplay balancing, game narratives, and digital project management as well as a basic knowledge of game art, game programming, and game scripting.
